A couple weeks ago, I had an opportunity to put my chef coat back on. I had the pleasure of catering a surprise birthday party for some special friends. It was a great event for those involved, but was also very refreshing and provided me an avenue to feel renewed. Putting that coat back on was symbolic to getting back to my roots. Cooking was how it all began for me several years ago! I wanted to share with you a couple moments from that day. My clients wanted simple and tasty appetizers for the event, followed by a fragrant summer salad and a dinner to warm the soul.

The second dish in foreground is a deconstructed caprese salad with local heirloom tomatoes. Dinner was a classic chicken parmesan with linguini alfredo.
